Emily HARTZ
Emily manages Milkweed Farm’s farm store, CSA members and pear orchard. She also grows the farm’s flowers and makes dried flower&softneck garlic braids in the fall. She’s a whiz with the chopsaw and can often be seen working on building projects around then farm. When not farming, she loves a good tromp in the woods with her family, birding, and quilting.

Jonah Mossberg
Jonah is in charge of all things vegetable production on the farm, and also tends to the behind the scenes financials and bookkeeping tasks of the business. His favorite thing to grow is sweet peppers.

Megan Grove (she/her) is excited to start her first season at Milkweed! New to farming but not to gardening, physical labor, and outdoor adventures, Megan is honored to be part of the Milkweed crew. When not at the farm or working one of her other part time gigs, Megan enjoys crafting of all kinds, being in or near a body of water, and playing with her cat, Reeves.

Walker grew up in Charleston, SC but has been happily living in Vermont for the last 4 years. They’ve had a series of odd jobs including: environmental educator, zoo keeper, and zip line guide. Currently, they farm during the warm months and ski instruct in the off season. While winter is their favorite season season, they have a deep passion for sustainable farming. Walker’s goal is to one day have their own land to educate others and create a community centered around living in harmony with nature.

LAURA XIAO
Laura is Milkweed Farm’s first and longest employee (5 years!). When not growing vegetables, she runs her own flower farm, By Hand Farm in Newfane. She loves her dog Birch, is a big fan of radicchio, and seriously dislikes snakes.

Mae grew up in central MA with 6 siblings and lots of time spent outside. She has her BS in Conservation from UMass and MEd from Antioch. She is a special education teacher in Putney. Mae loves knitting, riding her gravel bike, and planting native flowers.
